Back in late September, Jonathan Aguiar and Brandon Cantu were playing heads-up in the final of the 2012 WSOP Europe Event €10,450 Mixed Max NLHE, when at 5am the match was postponed until after the two players completed their Main Event.

In the end Cantu won the bizarre affair, with the chips going all-in pre-flop holding pocket sixes to Aguiar’s pocket fives. Luckily for Aguiar, there was no bracelet on the line and he only had $18,000 of his own money invested in the re-match. Still, he might feel aggrieved to have gone through all the melodrama in the first place.
Brandon Cantu, on the other hand, had an all together different perspective on things, and tweeted: “This teaches me a lesson that crying and complaining really does work in poker..I feel so much better. I’m going to sleep great tonight.”
